Bulb Planting Weekends in the Village - Come along and help
West End Parish Council is pleased to support the 2016 Project of the Year being promoted and managed by the West End Village Society (WEVS). The society is raising funds to buy daffodils and crocuses to plant in public spaces with volunteer help. The Parish council is one of the patrons of this project as some of the chosen locations are within the Parish’s land.
This is potentially a three year project with 2016 being the first. Recently thousands of bulbs have been purchased which now require planting. To this end WEVS is calling the residents of the village to come out on 23, 30 October and 6 November to take part in the planting work.
Volunteers are asked to meet at the Rosewood Way car park at 10:00 with garden trowels, gloves and spades. The work will stop at 13:00. There is no minimum time commitment in order to take part in the work. For road safety reasons no pets or children under 16 years of age can be present with the group. Further information can be found on WEVS’s website
The calendar on this site not only shows events/bookings at the Sports Pavilion, but also village events.
